The kids and I had a nice New Year with Aviva. Around 5 pm Arnold and I were going to run, but he wanted to be on the phone with his mother at 6pm for New Year in Spain. We had 55 minutes give or take and 7 miles to run. He opted to just do a 5k, but I decided to do the 7. I made it in just about 55 minutes on the dot, which is a new record for me. We ate the twelve grapes with the twelve bells with Carmen on the phone and then had some really nice new york strip steaks for dinner. After that we watched The Mummy 3. Then I set a fire in the mexican chimney on the back porch and set off some fireworks. We stayed up till 1am and everyone had a great time.
That Woman came at 750am to get Damion and Rachel. We were all very sad to see them go, Damion especially. I feel very sorry for him. Hopefully he will get his wish next year and get to stay for the whole school year.
This evening, Arnold, Alex, and I sat around the fireplace by the pool and watched Harry Potter. It was very cozy, but there was a heavy sadness from the absence of my other two babies. We'll go see them soon enough though, I guess.
