Once again today has arrived

Today I survived on rum and bourbon balls that the programmers brought in. I ate a lot of them and should have energy to run tonight. Arnold has no soccer practice since he's got midterm exams going on so I only have to pick up Rachel and go straight home. Yesterday I actually got to run in daylight. It was so exciting. I haven't done that in ages. I haven't been very good about my long runs either. It's unfortunate because this weekend I have a 20 mile run on the schedule and I'm not sure my body is going to like that. Oh well, whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger, right?
I also sent holiday cards out. Well, not to you, but to everyone else I know ;) I sent so many my hand started to cramp. I guess if I were clever I'd have used labels, but I had the cards and the envelopes and if I put it off for a minute I'll never do it.
I ordered presents for the boys too. Damion made out like a bandit because I couldn't find the 4gb ipod nano anymore so I had to get him the 8gb one. It's for both Hanukah and his birthday though. I got Arnold some books on theoretical physics that he wanted and an SAT study guide that he'd asked for. Rachel will get some silly cheap thing since I got her a notebook computer a month ago that counted for birthday and Hanukah. Alexandra....well I have to find something for her. She wants cash and she wants to go to the mall with an ex-girlfriend of mine who is not happy with me, doesn't want to talk to me, but still likes Alex. I'm not sure that it's a great idea, but what am I gonna do.

What's for dinner

I reheated lasagna for the kids dinner last night. Rachel decided she would be helpful and pull it out of the microwave. Of course, she had to climb up on the counter to reach it. And then.....

So Gator came along to help clean up....
So then the dinner menu changed a little....

At the Dr again

Poor kid! She is better though. Her fever is mostly gone and she has more energy.
I could use a fifteen mile run tonight. This parenting thing is wearing me out.
